Kickstarter Quietly Announces UK Launch

Last month Kickstarter announced its planned expansion to the UK for August. It's a reminder that despite being 3 years into the game, Kickstarter is still in its early growth stage as is the larger phenomenon of crowdfunding.

This brings some fresh competition for PledgeMusic but their differentiation from Kickstarter and focus on full album campaigns seems unlikely to leave them vulnerable. Music crowdfunding has room for a lot of different approaches to be successful.
